Looking for a Job

Earlier this month I wrote about getting married and moving to an entirely different place. Because of my move, I had to quit my job, so I've been looking for a new one. I recently become a 31 consultant which is proving to have been a great decision. I've only had one party so far, but I have enjoyed every minute of it, and I love being able to spend "girl time" with some great women. I have also been looking for a daytime job, that is more steady. I have submitted several application, and God has recently blessed me with two interviews. I have not had an offer from either interview, but I have not lost my hope or faith. Sometimes it's hard, and I get discouraged because I feel like I'm not doing anything. I know the Lord will give me the right job, but once again being patient is so difficult. I desire so much to work with school-age children, but I also want to do the Lord's will. These days I feel like I'm very quiet and watching life pass me by. I hate that feeling, but I don't know what to do to change it. I love being married and being a wife. It has brought me great joy, and I wouldn't change it for the world. My husband is my best friend, and I'm so thankful that he supports me in any decision that I make. I am thankful for all the wonderful and encouraging things people have said to me along the way, and I'm most thankful to my Lord for always watching over me.

Rivers, Francine. Her Mother's Hope. Carol Stream, Illinois. Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. 2010. Print.

For those of you that have read Francine Rivers' other books, you already know this is a must read title. Her Mother's Hope is the first book of a two book legacy. This book is a fictional account of Francine Rivers' family history. She tracks her ancestry back to Switzerland and tells a compelling story of how families carry on tradition for good or ill. The great thing Rivers does is tell a story that has the reader begging for more. Even though the book is rather thick, I never lost interest in the story, and I can't wait to read part two. I read the entire book in just under a week, and I just could not seem to get enough of the story. I do not want to give anything away, but I have to say it really amazing to see how families pass certain traits and traditions on to their children. Some things are hard to change if they have been taking place for generations, but sometimes changes should be made. I think this story allows its readers to consider their own lives and the traditions they pass on to their children. As I said, this book is a must read. I know you will enjoy it especially if you enjoy history between 1900-1950. To all those bookworms out there, happy reading.

Excited about New Opportunities

I am officially a 31 consultant. I am so excited to be a part of this business that is based on Proverbs 31. The products that 31 offers are so useful, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share what this company has to offer with others. Of course starting your own business isn't easy, but I have faith that the Lord will bless this opportunity if I trust in Him to do the work only He can do. God always provides for his children. The Lord is always trying to teach me to exercise faith and patience, and I have faith that the Lord will provide as long as I lean on Him. Sometimes I feel like I try to run from what He has for me because I'm afraid, but I know that He loves me unconditionally, and He will provide for my every need. Through this business, I hope to meet many women, and perhaps this can be a great ministry opportunity. I can't wait to see what the Lord will do.
